Beginnings

We all know there’s such a thing as writer’s block, but how about fear of starting a new journal? Actually, fear is probably the wrong word to use here because it’s more like the I might wreck it so I’ll wait until I know I can do something fabulous with it syndrome. In other words, you just keep putting it off until you’re feeling perfect, which as we all know is basically never. Enough of that, I thought to myself. I’ll just jump right in and do whatever. Whatever turned into a big question mark for me, so what else could I do but go with it?

You are so very correct. You could wait forever for things to be perfect, and you will wait a long time to get started. Just do it! You will be surprised with the results.

I love how the piece of the old page suggest a beginning of a story, which then takes a life on its own, and becomes a story that needs color and life and a little girl! i want to hear the rest of the story!

Great start! I just (more or less) finished my first page ever. But I'm not satisfied yet. I need to let go more. I want to much perfection. When I think it's finished I might put it on my blog. In the meantime I will be inspired by your work!
