Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved hearts. I recall thinking to myself then that the shape of a heart felt like a hug. And I still do. But like the smiley face and Easter egg, hearts get a lot of commercial mileage. Sometimes I forget that love is much, much bigger than any symbol—no matter how much it appeals to me visually—so my plan for today is to express love in whatever I do.
