Time Out

I’m getting fed up with the cleaning thing—mainly because it reminds me that if I did more on a regular basis, it wouldn’t be such a big job at this time of year.
When I mentioned it to John tonight, he said I had more important things to do…like Photoshop. At first I thought he was joking but he wasn’t. So I took a break from cleaning the silver and made this ATC. I used a scan of a broken clamshell and some paper I like…anything to get away from red!

I spent a wad of money on cleaning supplies for my maid and they still don't do silver.

Whenever you are blessed with grandchildren, show them how to polish. My brother loved to polish my grandmother's silver, when he was little and he would polish all the brass doorknobs when we would visit my other grandparents' apartment. He of course inherited the silver tea service too. I'm very happy to not be burdened with such a thing.
Have a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks for your comment on my "Child in the Branches" story. I wasn't sure if it would inspire anybody else. I was thinking of not even posting it...and then I did because of the feeling it gave me. Reading it again today and finding your comment reminded me just to follow my bliss.

Did you really scan a shell with your scanner? How do you do that?
This is so neat! Your site inspires me too.

PS I will let you know when I'm playing again. Happy Holidays and here's to lots of inspiration and wonderin the New Year!!!

A husband who thinks that Photoshop is more important than cleaning. . . Would that they ALL had the same priorities! He was right, you know. The clamshell art is lovely!
